View on Sketchfab
Skull of a caecilian, Typhlonectes natans, with bones colored and labelled to demonstrate skull anatomy. 3D model produced from a CT scan of a specimen from the Florida Museum of Natural History (UF:herp:192402). Segmentation and mesh files generated using 3D Slicer. Meshes further edited in Blender. Anatomy follows Wake (2003) “The Osteology of Caecilians” in Amphibian Biology, Volume 5, Morphology H (Heatwole and Davies). Caecilian image by Zach Randall.
